Default Long time lurker first time poster.

    Hi.

I found this site after watching the tutorials by Jenny, and have been lurking for a while but never posted. I am new to quilting and Just want to say thanks to all of you for all the words of wisdom. It is refreshing to see such encouragement and kindness with an on-line forum!

I started quilting because it is tradition in the family that the grandmother's make a quilt for their grandchildren when they are babies and again when they get married. I am way behind as my oldest grandson will be 10 this January. His favorite color is orange and I did the yellow brick road and hope to have it done for his birthday in January.

Thanks to everyone for providing such a great environment!

You may be a bit behind with your grandson's quilt, but I don't think you are lacking in quilting skills.

Welcome to the forum. I love your quilt! The color combination is fantastic!

Do you know the name/designer of the border fabric? A co-worker just had a baby & I think it would be perfect for him.

Hey Kim, and Welcome from Texas! Though behind a tad on your Grandson's quilt, that does not apply to your skills, great job! Hop on often, we'd love to see what you do next!
