Default Sewing festival with loot! (pic heavy)

Yesterday my old collegue Helena and I took the day off to go to Stockholm and this year's winter sewing festival. We had a blast!!! We met up at the station here in Örebro and a 2.5 hrs bus drive and a short train ride later, we were at the exhibition centre where the festival was hosted.

We went there two years ago (my first time) and I got confused by all that was available and didn't buy much. Not a problem yesterday! I had decided beforehand not to go home sorry not to have bought stuff I really, really wanted. Needless to say I went kinda overboard...

    This is my loot!

Lots of fabric! Different sizes but most of it is fat quarter-sized(ish). There are a couple of patterns under there and a fabric kit for a nice rund table "runner" (I never buy kits but this one was goregeous!). I also got some nifty stuff such as a small ruler, another small cutting mat, water soluble glue, a kit of colourful crochet needles, heat-n-bond, freezer paper, 505 spray... And I'm sure I'm forgetting something! Ah yes, a crochet monster kit! Oh, and yarn.

There were several very nice quilt fabric stalls. This is a typical one, manned by the seller and her husband.

Typically they had a few bolts of fabric and loads of pre-cut fabric and of course plenty of quiltes and other quilted items on display. There were of course gadgets:

    And, oh my, the batiks...

There were also a lot of workshops, mostly not to do with quilting though. Here's one

And here's what I made in a crochet one!

There was even one dedicated to Same/Saami (pronounced "sahmae") crafts where one could learn how to make their traditional bracelets:

Samer or Saami are the people who live in the north of Sweden and Finland (mostly).

There were also a LOT of stalls dedicated to all kinds of yarn crafting. Here's a really colourful one:

    And some not as colourful!

I think, Anna, that one of your arms must be a lot longer than the other after carrying all your loot home. I thought I was bad. What a great day you had!!
