    Default Advice on horizon fabric

The daily deal is going to kill me. I've been thinking of getting either a jelly roll or a layer cake of Horizon from moda. Has anyone used this collection for a quilt? How did the colors look? I wish the quilt stores near me had it because I want to see the colors in person before buying.

Since its a daily deal I can't return it if I don't like it, hence why I'm asking.

I love this line too, but I always struggle with what to do with a jelly roll. *sigh*

I have charm packs, jellyroll, layer cake and yardage! I have plans to make at least a couple quilts with this line. The first one I'll make is this quilt designed by Kate Spain for Moda. The digital pattern is available now, but I ordered the paper version which won't be shipped until the 8th. I prefer to work with a paper pattern, but if you're in a hurry, the digital version can be downloaded immediately.

I also plan to make something with larger areas of color to showcase the prints. Haven't quite decided yet.

Jenny's Summer in the Park quilt would be beautiful in the Horizon line too. I previously made this pattern with her Cuzco jellyroll and it's very pretty.

Maybe this link will help you decide about buying this line. I love the vibrancy of her designs, but some folks prefer more toned, calming color schemes. I really like the way United Notions shows off it's fabrics. I can't tell much with the teeny thumbnails!

I was drooling over it on the Craftsy sale, and then it appeared as the DD. Is that a sign???? (Please say, yes.)
