Default Crock Pot Italian Beef turned out Amazing!

Found this recipe online, read the reviews and tweaked it - but it came out so delicious and easy

3-5 lb Roast (I used a Arm Roast, but Chuck whatever)
2 Jars pepperocini (1 jar of sliced, the other whole)
2 packages Good Seasonings Italian Dressing (dry mix, the Zesty Italian I'll try next time for more zing)
    2 cans Beef consume
    Garlic powder to taste

Put all the above except 1 jar of pepperocini (save the sliced ones), into the crock pot on low for 8 hours.

Give it a good stir to make sure all the beef is nicely shredded and soaking up all the great au jus.

Warm up your preferred size sandwich rolls. Set out extras such as onion slices, the jar of whole pepperocini's, shredded cheese or whatever your family likes. With such few ingredients this served 4 hungry folks it was really easy.

Wonder of my "I only eat meat, potatoes and sometimes a salad" guest would eat this . . .

I made a pot roast tonight, I used a 4lb roast a package of ranch dry seasoning mix,dry italian salad dressing mix and brown gravy mix plus a Cup of water and cooked it on low for 7hrs. I was so afraid it would be too salty but it wasn't at all.My dd suggested this method, it was tasty and the meat feel apart.

This sounds good. I've done the roast with just a jar of pepperocinis before and it was good, as well, and only 2 ingredients. I'll have to give this recipe a try. Thanks.

Thanks all, been missing everyone for too long! Got my next roast thawing and will do it again tomorrow for the weekend. Read the Zesty Italian adds more -- but hope not more salty taste? Let me know if anyone else tries this with the Zesty

I made this the other day using Zesty and it was great. Kind of a strange combination to begin with and I was curious how it would taste. The meat was very tender. And I liked having all those pepperoncini!
