Don't have to worry about school anymore, kids are gown, but it is always fun to see the grandkids so excited to be back.

Nope! Been there, done that. We have three kids 30, 29 and 29 (yes, twins). Back to school was like having triplets. New everything, as our daughter was first, soooo no handme downs. I truely miss those years.

While I don't have any kids (YET), I am in college for the 3rd time working on my 2nd Master's degree. This time of year is fun but tedious, working full time and dealing with a new semester is a lot of work. I have recently started learning to sew and quilt and that is what I do when I have free time to relax!!! I loved finding this forum and hope to learn so much in the future from here!

I don't have to worry about back to school issues anymore. However, I have been concerned about kids in the community that might not have all the necessary supplies they need.....so, I'll go out and buy a bag full of stuff and take to the local elementary school.

    Happy Sewing,

I only have 1 I'm sending off to school this year....8th grade!

My son is a true country boy. Most kids his age want to go shopping for school clothes at the malls. Not my kid...he asked me last night to take him to Tractor Supply (HaHaHaHa) because they have "awesome shirts and Wrangler jeans". Nothing like a farm store for school shopping!!

My worry with back-to-school is the added traffic with school buses and sleepy parents driving hugh vans that block my view. And the kids wandering around the parking lot, hiding behind those hugh vans and then darting into traffic.

I can very gladly say I am beyond the point of worrying about buying school supplies for my children. I did that for all three of my kids and then with two of them for college as well just 'cause I was a nice Mommy.

But gosh, it was fun while it lasted. HA
I do however, take advantage of many of the sales on that stuff because one can never have too much 'stuff' and so much can be used in my sewing room anyway so why not buy it now when the prices are so great right?
