Default Longarm + Tshirt quilt = Nightmare!

Have a Tshirt quilt with NO stabilizer on the shirts, altho does have cotton fabric behind each shirt (no help). Loaded it on my longarm, and what a nightmare! Ripples, bubbles & puckers! Oh My!
Considering taking it off and tearing out all stitching (can you hear me crying and swearing?), and just tying it. Any advice?

can you take it off and remove the cotton behind the tshirts and then iron on stabilizer? until you stabilize those shirts the LA will push and pull and stretch then as it goes over them. You need a very lightweight stabilizer, featherweight, or even ultralight will work.

Thought of that - but almost seems like more work than ripping and tying!???!!! (Cuz I would still have to rip to do the cutting of cotton and applying of stabilizer

No advice but I'm thinking that the stabilizer must really help. I've made one t-shirt quilt but
because I didn't want the hassle of quilting it, I made it "rag" style….it turned out nicely and
my college son loved it. I would probably return the quilter to the one who made the top
    and didn't stabilize it.
