    Question English Paper Piecing

I'm new to English Paper Piecing. When do you take the paper out?

    Thanks!

I am doing a 1" scrappy Hexie and I remove my papers only after all sides are connected to another Hexie. EPP is kind of addicting isn't it!!!!

I haven't tried it yet, would love to see your work when you are ready to share.

Check out the Hexagon group on this site, there are about 84 people signed up. It is amazing how addicting these piece of papers are - think I have 5 or 6 projects going at the same time. Take care. . . .

I am working at a 1" hexi quilt too, and I try to remove the papers the latest I can, and never before other hexis have been added around the one I am removing the paper from. I also usually iron carefully the unit before taking the paper off.

As your hexi quilt gets bigger, after ironing, I remove the paper pieces. Except, I always leave the papers on the outer edge in place until the outer edge becomes an inner edge, or until you have reached the size you want.

I do it like everyone else here. I remove the papers as late as possible and at least keep the papers on the outer edges in it. Sometimes with smaller projects that go on a background fabric, I leave the papers all in until it the block is done and ironed. Then I take the papers out and appliqué the block on the background fabric.

Where can I find the Hexagon group? I'm new to this forum, and am not sure what all is out there!
