    HST Hack!

I found this awesome way to do HST without all the markings!! I know Jenny can do it by site, but I'm fairly new and still need some guidance. Here's a way to help!

Actually, Jenny doesn't do it by sight, she folds and presses a crease down the center and then sews on both sides of it, just like your link shows doing with a piece of tape. I like using the pressed fold method.

Jenny's other method is to sew around the 4 outsides of two squares that are face to face and then slicing from corner to corner, giving you 4 Hst's at once.

I personally don't care for using tape on my machine. It's a preference.

I like this idea... Painter's tape is easy to remove and doesn't leave any resudue (sp). I'll have to give this a try next time I need a bunch of HST. Thanks Molly. I never get too old to learn!!

What a great idea. I'd already added a roll of blue painters tape to my quilting supplies for marking quilting lines. Who knew there were some many uses for it in this craft.

Molly great info, and thanks for sharing, it's always great to see/learn different perspectives. LOL, but Jenny's got me spoiled, will share this with my quilting group this month.
