Default Remember "I made something I don't Like"

If you recall I had posted asking for opinions as to set my pinwheels straight or on point, then I posted I didn't like the out come. Well, it's finished and I named it my "Happy Dance". When I started it was just an idea in my head and practice making pinwheels. Once I put the border on it everything changed. I used my decorative stitches to quilt it.
There are several things I will do differently next one I make.
I left the corners the way they are on purpose, (wanted to see what it would look like). So please don't yell at me because I didn't finish the corners.
When, quilting the pinwheels I took the stitching through the center from all points. Next time just the criss cross will intersect the other points will stop in the middle. Too much thread there. But the stitch I used would have been impossible to remove. Quilt on....need to practice more sewing curves so my hearts are round not round and chopped. All in all I am very pleased with the outcome and I know a special little girl who will be receiving this for her first birthday. Thanks to my Aunt in Nebraska.

Thank you for letting me share with you. Have a wonderful day!

Very cute! Turned out great. Very creative corners. I love putting blocks on point. I'm sure it will be well loved.

You didn't finish the corners? Then who did finish them, because they look finished to me. They are not 90 degree corners, of course, but there is no rule that says corners have to be a certain way. I, personally, like the effect of the diagonal corners; it brings something unique to the finished result. Congratulations, too, on your willingness (and bravery) to experiment! It is a lovely quilt, and I am sure it will be well loved by the little girl.

It is a plus that this was also a learning experience. I am quilting almost 4 years now, and I think I have learned something with each and every project I have made.

Wow, that is awesome! I Love the way you finished the corners, the way you did them really sets the pinwheels off.

That is adorable! I love it! Pinwheels are one of my favorite patterns. They always look so happy. Yours are just dancing with joy! Great name and great quilt.

It's cute & creative! There's no law saying you have to have right angles at the corners, & I appreciate your sharing this idea for borders & corners!

Oh, Teri - do this one again and again. Love it on-point and absolutely salute (!!) you on your corners. That's what makes you unique and your quilting so special.
