first flannel rag quilt

what fun this was.....but next time i will make a larger block...this one was 7.5. will try a 9.5 for my next one.

the back is all the same except for two !! i reversed them. so i cut out felt flowers with my sizzix and put them on the wrong squares...looks sort of intentional. oops.

I've never made a quilt with flannel. This looks so cozy. I've got to give one a try. Like the "oops" BTW.

Hey, looks like you planned it that way. I think it is just fantastic. Do you have the rag quilt snippers to cut the edges? They sure do make a difference. I have ones made by Fiskers and they make the job easy.

Love your rag quilt. I am making one in flannel right now for my husband. I love making them. They are so easy. And Sandy, I bought one of those quilt snippers. Haven't used it yet but I'm glad I bought it.

Good save! No one will know it wasn't intentional unless you tell. It's a darling quilt that my dgd's would love to snuggle up in on cold winter nights.

yes, i bought the clippers....fiskars....i think it made the job easier....but then i have never made a rag quilt before ! since starting to quilt in november i have tried to make a lot of different things. for the joy of it ! i confess, i keep coming back to the totes...they make quick great gifts.

but i guess it's like your kids....you love them all ....
