This is a cross wall hanging for my aunt who is a minister and chaplain. She married my wife and I seven years ago this Monday. It is 4 log cabin blocks (two of them stretched and each set mirrored) and while it isn't perfect, it is pretty good considering I didn't even unroll the fat-eight bundle I used for the purples until my 6 month old son went down for his nap and I finished the entire top (cutting, piecing, and pressing) all by myself before he woke up.
I didn't invent this design but I just made up the exact sizing as I went. Strips were cut at 1.5" making them ≈1" finished and the purples were cut from a fat-eights bundle from Joann's.
