    Default Daughter's 1 today!

    My daughter turns one today!

I made her a pillow quilt out of minky charms. Oh my gosh was it hard! Sewing minky to minky it just dances around!

I haven't snipped it all yet. I need to get a better scissors for that.

Just for the sake of reminiscing, here's my daughter at 2 months on another quilt I made.

Very pretty quilt for a cutie pie! I think you did very well working with the Minky ... I agree it's somewhat difficult to work with.

Happy Birthday little one! Your mommy did a great job with your birthday quilt, didn't she... Working with Mimky can be a challenge..

So pretty and the quilt is too!

How many charm packs did you use?

A big happy birthday to your little one. She is precious and so is the quilt.

I used 8 charm packs (2o squares/pack), as per Jenny's tutorial. It's a small quilt but great for a toddler

I also got enough to make my niece one. Hopefully it's easier on the second!

    !
I have done several rag quilts. I strongly recommend the scissors with springs in them like these:

Your hand will thank you!!!!!!!!! It can be painful to do it normal ones. Shoot it's painful after awhile even with those. But those help a ton!
