    Default String Quilt top completed

Finally finished my string top. I used almost 2 "Summer House" by Lily Ashbury jellyrolls and paper pieced them. Can't decide if I need a border or not. I do wish it was a little bigger but I don't think I can sew anymore of those squares after almost 8 weeks of sewing strips!

Very beautiful!! Colorful and full of "energy"

IMO, a double border would look awesome on your quilt top and make it bigger.

I LOVE the stripes around the blocks. That would really be great in a narrow (about 2") border, with something else (maybe a coin-type) border using the rest of the jelly rolls.

Your quilt is wonderful--I love all the colors. By all means add borders to make it the size you want. You've put so much time in this quilt and you deserve to enjoy it! Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful quilt! Having done such a nice job so far, I would also add a double border. That way the quilt would turn out to your own satisfaction.

WOW I can easily see how much work you have put into this... It looks fantastic, full of character.. definately add some bright borders to match.

One of my favorite quilts to do is a string. But I also understand getting tired of it. Take a break for a few days and then come back and view the replies. I think a double border would be charming as well.
    Lovely fabric in this one!
