    Default Work In Progress

    Hello all!
This is my 2nd quilt and I wanted to share it with you. It's not completely finished and I'll be adding 2 more borders.
I love seeing everyone's quilts and reading the stories that inspire them.
This quilt is for a dear friend from South Africa and she's quite the hostess always offering a cuppa tea. Everything about this fabric fits her, well, to a "tea"! The pattern is the Double Slice Layer Cake (thanks Jenny for the tutorial!) and the fabric is Cream and Sugar by Ampersand Design Studio for Windham Fabrics. I absolutely love this fabric and have to resist the urge to buy up all that I find!
    Thanks for looking!

ooooooooohhhh.... pretty - is one of the borders going to be brown? I think that would pull everything in and focus the eye... not that you asked for opinions... just a thought

    Thanks!
I was thinking of doing the binding in the pink or brown. The 2nd border will be a scrappy 1 inch and the 2nd border will be 3inches of white. The backing will be the blue green stripes.

    Thanks for your thoughts though!

Very cute fabric choice for your friend! I love the double slice pattern. This is going to be a splendid gift for your friend. Be sure to post your quilt in the groups library too. We need more show-n-tell there.

    Beautiful job on your quilt.

I just added it to the group. I have a hard time navigating these kinds of things so it took me a while! LOL
