    Smile Layer cake swap anyone????

I haven't seen a layer cake swap on the forum.....I think it's bcuz either a lot of fabric is concerned or maybe I missed one ......either way I am more than happy to host one if we get enough people who want to join in....I think it would be wonderful...plus I have noticed some threads about precuts not being measured right..and with the holidays around the corner extra cute fabric you might of not had will be at your disposal...what do u guys and gals think???

That's kind of an expensive swap. Are we getting rid of one's that we don't like anymore just to receive one that someone else doesn't like anymore? What are your thought's on how this will work?

Yes, me too. Do we cut our own 10" squares or ...?

I'd be interested in knowing how it was going to be organized too. Are we cutting the squares? If so, are we staying to a color theme so that we will actually have something hopefully usable in the end rather than just a "scrappy" collection?

I agree this is an expensive swap. I don't have any that I don't want as I only have 2. I wouldn't want to go out and spend 30 bucks to get one for a swap. I think its too much. Just my opinion.

I agree, I don't have any in my stash that I would want to give away but I would be open to a 10" square swap, possible with a theme like holiday fabric or floral.

I think she means that each would cut layer cake squares, 10x10" and swap them, thus after getting all of them, you will have a layer cake. But, you only cut one fabric.

I've seen them before. I think that is what she is talking about. Not swapping whole layer cakes.

If 42 people cut 42 and send them to her, she swaps them all out and sends them back, you will each get 42 10x10" squares or a Layer cake.

    I hope that helps.
