Oh yes, one other thing too...for my dear landlady who suffers from many ailments now in her later years, I am making a quilted prayer shawl..instead of batting I will use flannel to make it a bit lighter. I have already knitted her a wool one for Fall and Winter.

Don't know whether I answered already or not. I have a couple of table runners to make, and bought a pattern for a purse.

Hi, my summer time project is the Summer Bow Tie Quilts project on Facebook. We are making a 6" Bow Tie everyday from the first day of summer (June 21st) to the last day of summer. When we finish we should have 95 blocks that we can put together as a quilt. Its lots of fun to see everyone's blocks and the color combinations.

Small projects make great summertime projects. Of course we could always just get a quilt top finished to save for cooler weather to quilt...

GO SMALL!!! Nothing big or heavy. Make it Quick and Simple and Small enough to take wherever you go. Nice time to do hand pieced blocks, English paper piecing, or machine sew blocks. Sew individual blocks this summer, they are small, lightweight and are portable, by Fall you may have enough for a quilt top. Blocks are the answer!

I am not willing to put it all away until it gets cool. I just get up early and quilt before it gets uncomfortable. Where there is a will there is a way!!!

    Congrats Toggpine....have fun spending.

I am working on pillowcases for the military guys overseas and in the military hospitals. Also working on Quilt of toValor blocks for my quilt guild to put together quilts. We also work on totes for cancer patients and will probably do a couple of Quilts for Kids which is a wonderful program. I will be keeping busy.

    Enjoy the summer ladies!
