I'm very new, I never made a quilt before so I don't know if it's too hot to work on for summer, but currently I'm working on a table runner and piecing blocks for my first quilt

Small projects can be worked in with summer events and travel.

My big project this summer is to get all my fabric washed, ironed, folded, and onto my new closet shelves.

I seem to be in a "starter" mode. I have done the tops for a picnic blanket in lots of country looking fabrics, also an irish chain twin, then theres the quilt for my husband. Oh and lets not forget the table runners, loads of the and I'm trying to make all of the pretty on one side and for various hollidays on the other so they get used all year long. Last week I decided to order the trick or treat charm squares on the dd, and have started doing candy bags for the little trick or treat youngin's in the family, they're turning out real cute since I had no idea what I was doing!!! Just "baby totes" right???? When it gets a little cooler I'll be working on yoga pants in flannel and fleece for gifts as well as myself!! Right now they're just waiting for me to become a little more ambitious!!! And of course it will be time to finish all the starter projects of summer, I love it!!!! Congrats Tog Pine, hope you enjoy that shopping you're gona be able to do!!!!!!!!!

I'm always happy to make tote bags and purses. Summer is also a good time to get some tops made to be quilted over the winter!

I love making table runners/bed runners. I am enrolled in a class that teaches a new quilting block or method every other month which I love as a beginner.

I still love to make baby quilts in the summer. They are great to use as a mat on the floor for baby to play on.

Cool Re: Giveaway Week 25 Jun 27th - July 8th

I'm currently working on a jelly roll handbag and I have decided to work on things with my girls for technological gadgets; smartphone cases, laptop case, mp3 case, digital camera case and some fun aprons for fall / Christmas. Also one's headed back to college so a nice big Amy Butler bag is in the works for her...

I just start on Christmas and birthday quilts -- lots of both in the fall! I'm trying to cut it off at the pass and do the "quilting" part after it cools down. Now the tops can be constructed!
