Cool How do you keep the lint contained?

Whenever I use jelly rolls, there is always a big mess left behind and it seems to get all over. I like to sew on my kitchen table which is open to the family room so I can be with the family and watch( or at least listen) to the tv also. The problem I have is with the zig zag cut of the rolls.... I shake them outside when possible, vacuum them, and even have the packing tape to get them off. But... It still seems to be a lot messier than just cutting the strips from yardage. I watch Jenny' s tutorials all the time and can't understand why it seems that she doesn't have this problem. She even wears a dark apron on some! Does anyone have a trick they could share?

LINT roller. I use it on my jelly rolls and it does help. And I use it a lot! I buy them in bulk at Costco.

Well, I agree with you regarding the fuzzy lint mess I bet that Jenny or someone shakes out the fuzz before they do the recording. I just shake some of the fuzz off outside or just clean with a lint roller as I go.
Finished is way better than perfect!

Thanks Vicky and Jess, I'm going to have to get a lint roller! Genny, you are lucky that you don't have this problem. :-)

There was a similar thread recently on this topic in which someone mentioned using their vacuum on the jelly rolls. So I tried it with my mini attachments for my vacuum. Excellent, and a relatively cheap one time purchase that I also use to gently suck the lint out of my machine.

There were a couple of nice suggestions in that thread that I plan on trying. Here's the thread if you are interested.

My husband has an air compressor. I take the jelly roll outside and blow the snot out of it.

Sounds crazy but throw them in the dryer with a damp wash cloth and let it run through a regular cycle. Then look at your lent trap.
