Go Al!! I bought the Moon Shadows layer cake to make a quilt for my brother-in-law, but it has a couple prints with large flowers, so that is a no go (he specified NO flowers! ) So I'm back to the drawing board too. I can't wait to see what fabric you pick and watch your progress!

That's great! I hope you love it
Stonehenge fabrics are great for masculine quilts. The prints look appealing and rich, but not feminine.
    Batiks are wonderful as well.

Lots of people love working with batiks and others don't. It might be a good idea to save those fabrics for another project if you keep quilting.

Love it! You can do it! I like the Socky idea, if your store is out of it, let me know, my store has a bunch of it!

Venezia by Michele D'Amore! Blues and browns, graphic design, not a flower in sight! I love her fabric collections! She did Moon Shadow, Sun Kissed Spa, Bold and Beautiful, and Urbanicity, I love and have them all!

I like all of the Moda Zen Chic patterns. I used the Barelona line for a quilt for my 17 yr old son and I also love the Sphere line. Bright and fun and not at all girly!

Please treat others as you would hope others would treat those you love.
