Retreat Centres in Europe

Hi all!

Does anyone know any quilter retreats in Europe? (Preferably from first hand experience)

Our guild holds two a year for members at a hotel. I don't know where you are in Europe but I'm close to Kaiserslautern.

I'm kind of near you actually. I live in Switzerland!

Can anyone join at your retreat or is it strictly your guild only? Is the hotel you are staying at just a normale hotel or do they regularly organise quilting events?

I'm interested in this as well. I'm stationed in Hungary and would love to get together for sewing time!!

Maybe all we Europeans need to organise something on our own...

I'd love to visit Hungary, I've never been there...

I've also found a retreat centre in Scotland which looked very promising (here's the link: Welcome). Depending on how the next few months go for me, I might reward myself with a holiday and Scotland has been on my list of places to visit for a long time...

When I visited my in-laws in Hessen I found a quilt store in Bad Camberg (near Wiesbaden). The lady who owns the store told me that they are doing retreats where they go quilting for a whole week somewhere and that they always have a lot of fun. I'm not sure where they go but it may be worth to ask. Here is the link to the store in case anybody might be interested

That studio looks great! Hope to end up in Frankfurt some time in the near future so that I can at least make a day trip to Bad Camberg...
