My ugly duckling deff turned into a beautiful swan ..

This is my ugly ( fabric ) duckling quilt .. Using a stash of what I thought was unusable fabrics ..
But I'm super pleased with the way it turned out and grew I to something I am very proud of ..
Simple cross hatch quilting with a small amount of echo quilting around the border ..
This is going to some friends of mine who live in woods and have a new baby boy ..
The quilt has been named ... ' The Badger Set '
I want to say a HUGE thank you to all on here ..your pictures are all inspirational , your ideas are all amazing , and it keeps all members going and going !
I may not say much , but it doesn't mean I'm not reading and watching every day

Nothing ugly about this one... I love to take a peek at what I have and say..."make something from this"... it's half the fun!! The rest is when it's done and you can't believe how much you love it!!

That turned into a truly beautiful quilt. You did a wonderful job with that. Sometimes I think the hardest part of working with fabrics we don't like is getting the motivation to actually sit down with the fabrics themselves. You, however, overcame that and created a work of art. Love it!

I did post their of the quilt top a couple of weeks ago ..it's wasn't fully finished then ..now it's totally finished and I might be able to sleep now without waking a couple of times a night thinking about it ! Lol ...
