Has anyone made a tote bag with the lining quilted with the top and batting instead of adding it separately? When I follow Jenny's tutorial I don't like the way my lining looks. I know how to do French seams for the sides but how do you add the handles and finish the top edge? Thanks.

Re: Tote bag help please
I have a great pattern from Fons & Porter for a bag made with pre-quilted fabric and the straps are sewn onto the outside underneath a pocket. It had the french seams and all. It sounds like what you're looking for. If you'd like for me to email you a copy of the instructions, send me a message with your email address.

On this one you sew the lining to the top and flip it over. Then use french seams on the bag itself. The handles are sewn to the outside. Angie Quilts: Angie's Big Quilted Panel BagQuilters never die, they just go batts.
