    Default Bad Habbits

I thought I'd treat myself with a bowl of Dove dark chocolate by the sewing machine. Every day I sit down to work, I let myself have one piece. I should say here that I'm diabetic and follow a strict diet. No sugar, etc. This is my one indulgence, but now I'm addicted, lol. If I ever decided not to refill the bowl, I have a feeling I'll go through withdrawls,

Anyone else have bad sewing habits?

Love the Dove dark chocolates! Diabetic here too and I got too lax with the diet over the holidays. Not awful, but I have really buckled back down since going back to work on Wednesday. With the snow days, etc it was just too easy to snack during the day. Thankfully the peanut clusters are finally all gone. I had been having one or two a day or if I am honest, whenever I walked by the container.......

I'm not just buying fabric, I am supporting the economy...

A bad day in the sewing room is better than a good day at the office.

Not food but I recently noticed when I am sewing I find myself with a straight pin sticking out of my mouth! I chew on the bead while I am sewing. Not good I know but it is a bad habit!!!

It's far too easy to eat too much. I have a teenage son in the house too, so we have to keep lots of snacks in the kitchen. As much as I love him, it's going to be much easier when he leaves for college!

Probably the tv. Most times it's just background, but sometimes I will get stuck on some show.

I don't allow food or beverages anywhere near my sewing. I don't want to risk spilling or soiling my quilts. I keep my tea on the opposite side of the room away from my sewing. Chocolate! Love it! I'm borderline diabetic, diet controlled. I buy the sugar free candy at WM. It's just as addictive. Even though it is SF, it is not calorie or fat-free! It's way too easy to eat more than 1 or 2 pcs. a day. JCY
