Default I need help in calculaitons regarding batting

OK so Joann's has batting on sale King Size 120 x 124 for 35.99 or BTY for $9.49 and that is 124" wide by 36 so which is the cheaper way to go, BTY or by the bag? Sorry I am really, really bad at figuring this out, thanks for the help in advanced.

    So 120 inches is 3.33 (3 and one third) yards. At $9.49 a yard times 3.33 = $31.60

    By the yard is cheaper.

That is what I thought because of the width being 124" x 36, wow thanks for the help. But of course they only have 1 yard available and I need a lot more than that, lol. Mahalo

If you buy it by the yard and will need to piece it together for your quilt/project, for the little bit of difference in price I would get the solid piece. It's going to take time and thread to piece two sections of the by the yard batting together.
