Here in Canada (west coast) our fabrics are quite expensive for good stuff. ($17 to $22 a meter = 39 inches) I go to the states quite often and will have to start shopping there.
    Have fun with the pattern.

Have you ever tried a thrift store and looking at their sheets and linens. I sometimes find some really unique fabrics and patterns just using old sheets. I THOROUGHLY wash them of course. I have also raided the scrap and salvage bins at furniture fabric stores and scored some really unique fabrics. I am pretty sure I have used some fabrics that shouldn't be used in quilting, but I am a rebel, LOL.

Update.....things happen when you post just some candid photos of your stuff on F/B. A friend just got a hold of me and asked me to make her that quilt but in Reds......and a blasted KING size. I had also posted some pics of some free standing lace ornaments that I did on my embroidery machine and she got in touch wanting to know if I took orders. Holy Smokes.

The quilt is very pretty. As for your friend, charge her enough, especially if you decide to make a king sized quilt. Figure out what you want to charge then just for the fact it is king sized alone, add another $100.00 to the price.
