thank you for saying so. I am still struggling with binding an how to make it look finished and clean. Plues I don't know how to machine quilt free hand, and I really wanted try some stippling. Right now I'm just doing basic staight stitching and decorative stitchingg that is programmed into my machine. I still need to learn how my Brother machine works.I am really excited about a quilt as you go project I am working on right now, it's a strip quilt and I am choosing to attach my pre quilted squares with sashing, and it's all pretty scrappy and random. It's my favorite kind of quilting!

Oh my goodness, I haven't seen that Chinese Proverb in years. The first time I read it was in the Tightwad Gazette. For those of you who never knew that publication, it was a journal dedicated to creative thrift, how to live a good life on a tight budget. For a while, it was all the rage amongst starving stay-at-home moms.

The author was Amy Dacyczyn (pronounced "decision"). The Dacyczyns had six children and the youngest were -- you guessed it -- twins. Because of Amy's dedication to thrift coupled with her deep love of her children, that Chinese Proverb was both appropriate and hilarious.

    Welcome!

    Welcome! Your quilts look great.

My wife's brother and sister are twins. People who don't know them sometimes ask me, "Are they identical?!" ...well, since one is a boy and the other is a girl there is at least one minor difference.
