Default My first log cabin top!

My older sister just built a new 'cabin' and I offered to make her a quilt with this design. I asked her what color choices and she said "clarets, and fallish colors...bronze"

So a little over a month ago I picked out the fabric. I used Rose Smith's youtube video (Ludlow Quilt and Sew) to get me started and went to town.

    I finished piecing it yesterday.

I also was able to preview it using y EQ7 software (a Christmas gift last year) and then used the saved screen shot to help me put it together quickly. (Basically the screenshot became the design wall)

It turned out well. The pics aren't great because of my iphone4, but you get the idea.

My cat Sophie insists on "kitty approving" all quilts when they are placed on the floor for photos.
