How wonderful to wake up to all of these kind words! Thank you all, so much! I am headed to the fabric store today, to begin the baby quilt for my sister. I will be attempting applique Got the spray for basting. Will grab the applique sticky paper too.

Ya'll make me feel so confident!

    Anna,

They were actually SO easy and mistake proof I made random squiggles(for the center), and then continuously moved the fabric to make the pedal. Some are waved, some like } just connecting them. I will make a video this week to show. It helped to stop in-between pedals.

Wonderful job! I really like the heart design, and LOVE the name you quilted into it! Great work - we look forward to seeing more!

Good job! Love the pink and the heart design.

I don't know about the last minute jitters when finishing a quilt, but sometimes, I'm ready to burn the quilt I'm working on. Especially if it's a BAQ (Big A-- Quilt)! Sorry, had to add it.

I think you did a great job. I sometimes have hard points, too, but I'm getting smoother with time. Just keep stitching!

And if you're really concerned about extra fabric, use scraps or fat quarters. Every time I have thought I bought too much fabric, I am wrong. I always find a way to use it if I like it. The only time this is true was when I first started building my stash and I bought some fabric I didn't really like.

Started on edges for the heart quilt. Decided to scrap it and go with the satin pre-done in soft purple. Picked up the fabric for the applique. Looks like I'll have some extras, but I think it matches the other scraps I have. Going to quilt some adorable pan holders Can you believe there were only 3 types of jelly-rolls at Joanns?! All not so cute and NO solids!Click image for larger version.

Going to use the soft pink as the background, with some of the grey I cut into 1 & 2 inch strips for the top, and below with pink in-between as vertical stripes. Cutting out bunnies like they are hopping around between the stripes, and a floral scene for the main piece.

Any ideas for some FMQ patterns to match this?
