Default ISO fabric please help with info

I am looking for these fabrics. I need to know who the manufacture or the artist is. Any help would be great. I need to start making sure I have the bias strip on the fabric when I buy it!!!

I think the brown one came out about 5 years ago. (I need this one in black though)

Fabrics are manufactured in limited runs. Looking for something from 5 years ago is pretty much a hopeless cause unless you luck into someone that has it in their stash. I've never seen either one of those fabrics.

Usually the manufacturer, artist and fabric line is printed on the selvege edge, if it isn't printed there, it might be hard to figure out the information you need to find more of it. Is that what you are looking for?

I think you would be surprised with what you can still find out there with the internet. It never hurts to ask. The ladies on here have been really helpful in the past.

There is no selvage on these fabrics. haha I just realized I wrote bias instead of selvage in my original post.

I just thought someone might recognize these. Thanks anyway.

Stacy, this is only guess, I don't have either one. The brown one I think is from a line of Gettysburg fabrics, I have had others from the line. Try Two Bees Fabrics online. The red one looks like it could be from the Emma Lena line, try Persephone's Fabrics online. On the Gettysburg, If I can find my notes I'll try to get more info for you; I think it was Windham.

Both of these prints appear to be Civil War Era repros. I embedded three manufacturer links to their archived collections - it appears you may be spending quite a bit of time investigating. I have found myself in similar situations and opted to use shaded colors (time-worn look for Civil War Era prints) for the binding and added some of the binding fabric to the backing for coordination. Good luck!

    No luck on the red.

Wee is right!!! Thanks Karen I did not even know they had a search like that! Everyone has been such a sweetheart for even looking. A big thanks to you all.

I think the red is a civil war reproduction era, Baltimore album type fabric, not 30s because of the gold that is in it. I am going to keep looking. A friend needs it for a quilt she start a while ago. I am with you Snowbird, I try to blend with other similar era fabrics. But she doesn't want to give in just yet, lol.
