    Elmer's glue works especially well on QAYG sashings !

    Interesting. I use the glue on my bindings and love it. I think I will try this method on a table runner before I try a quilt.

    Sorry, I'm clueless about spray basting. Do you mean that you spray the layers of your quilt sandwich together, then use a dry iron to kind of set the glue? (I ask because using an iron on glue would scare me.)

    Nope..instead of pinning, use small amounts of Elmer's glue, then set with the iron. Can't imagine doing a whole quilt ! But it can give you very even sashings, for instance. Or appliqué instead of the fusible stuff. Have to think a little outside the box. There are some good tutorials out there..Pinterest, etc. sorry I can't send you there...I can't link anything to anything! (Spray basting is a whole different critter..works great on quilts)
