    Default Carol's Churn Dash Quilt

Here is a picture of the Churn Dash quilt that some of my fellow Artful Hands Quilt Guild members put together for our dear friend Carol who recently moved from Massachusetts to Tennessee. We provided the white background fabric and everyone added their favorite batiks (Carol's faves) to make one or more blocks. Several members dressed up their block centers with embroidery and good wishes to Carol. Our friend Mary added the snowball corners, set the blocks in a color progression setting and added the borders. I did the quilting on my longarm. Carol was so surprised and genuinely touched to receive such a wonderful gift that will always remind her of her friends at AHQG. Not to let her off the hook too quickly, we actually left the hand-binding to her!

Wow, that's a gorgeous quilt! How fun that everyone left their mark on it...including the recipient

    What a great community gift!
