    Default Waving from the Netherlands

    Hi all,
just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 63 yrs YOUNG (??) retired secretary and grandma of 3.
With my doggie Amy (french bulldog) I live in a lovely rural village in the eastern part of the country (about 70 miles. east of Amsterdam) and close to a historic city.
Besides quilting I also love to knitt, read, cook and enjoy pottering around the house LOL.
I haven't read anything here yet, so I'll start with browsing through the threads and subjects. I'm trying to blog as well, but am not very good at it and that's putting it very mildly LOL.
If you want to know more, just ask.

Forgot to mention: I 'know' Missoury Star a long time from enjoying and learning from the video's on youtube, but never knew there was a forum as well.

Welcome from me too! I just joined today as well. My parents came from Holland in 1952 and I was born and raised here in Canada. Many of my relatives still live there and I have been to visit your beautiful country many times. (My parents were from Amsterdam.)

    Welcome, Mary-Ann

    Hallo Dezet!

    Wat leuk een ander Nederlander!

Welcome to M* Forum, we have a couple of regulars, Lenie and Klasien from the Netherlands or as I like to simply say "Holland" here in the USA. Formerly from Amsterdam to Los Angeles, several other states and now we're in Atlanta, GA with my daughter and her family. Only one in the US now, the rest of the family is mostly in the Amsterdam area.

Several others are also transplanted Dutchies, I'm sure they will make themselves known to you.

Have fun here, we share a lot of knowledge, friendships and caring...

Welcome from Colorado! My D-I-L is from Spakenburg. I traveled to Holland in 1990 for their very traditional wedding. It was a great experience---memories I'll always cherish. My son met her when he was stationed over there while in the Air Force. Happy quilting! JCY
