I had a friend also call it "String Quilting". Actually, I called it "String Quilting"; she looked at me strange and said, "Oh, paper piecing", LOL; go figure.

Re: Quick Access Links for MSQC Tutorials - My User Notes
I have watched several of the videos....and the more videos MSQC made, the longer they get
( the first videos MSQC made were under 2 minutes ! ) ....which is awesome. I remember the very first paper crafting video I made, and I was soooo nervous ( it's really evident when you watch that video how uptight I was ) . Now I am used to doing videos, and love watching others who make videos too ! I have learned a lot from others.
Thanks so much for posting the list of all the videos Karen.......I love watching and learning from Jenny and her family. There's so many things that you can learn on YouTube now.
I have saved this list in my favorites......Some day, when I get over saying I am a "newbie" quilter, my dream quilt is the Big Star!!!
For now, I have stuck to nine patches, four patches, pillow cases, charm pack bags, and making pinwheels out of scraps I have, etc. I am cutting out a Drunkard's Path II for my SIL ( for her 2014 Christmas Gift ) .....the colors I chose are purple & white for her.
Are there any "beginners" that have tackled the Big Star ? Just curious, would love to know.Jacqueline ( Sugar ) Dorer-Russell
