    Default abbeys machine

    this is the machine i found at a garage sale...

    has a drop in bobbin but it does not stitch smoothly.

    Gina, is it electric or battery operated? What do you mean that it doesn't stitch smoothly? Are the stitches uneven or is the actual sewing kinda jerky?

    it has a power cord... but could work on c sized batteries... kinda jerky... stitches are consistent. i can use it for piecing... i like it... but perhaps not good for teaching ... at least not yet any way...

    Just the fact that it is PURPLE should make Abbey's day.

    it did... she loves it... and maybe i just need to have her piece 4 patches.....it is kinda frustrating for her... but in good time...

    The fire fighter in me says don't leave it plugged in when unattended. It is really a great gift for a kid. I'm sure she will get better and better with it. Love you, Jan
