Default Dresden Plate Christmas table topper - one done, two to go

I completed one topper and learned a lot while doing the Dresden plates design. Many thanks to the forum members for their advice. One done and two more to go. Had to stop and work on a table runner for my daughter so hopefully will get back to the toppers this week and then on to doing potholders.

    That came out so nice!

When you first showed the snowflake I was thinking what I would do with all mine. This gave me a little spark

That is beautiful! I love the hexagon frame, and the quilting lines.
Quilts may come, and quilts may go, but the stitches stay the same.

Beautifully done and I love the touch of the embroidered snowflake.

Thank you for the kind comments. The center circle of the plate looked so blank that I had all kinds of things popping into my head as to what to do with the center and finally settled on the snowflake even if it did give me trouble in the beginning.

I still have to wash this and I bought the color catchers everyone talked about. Hope it comes out okay.

Nice, nice, nice and a really good job.
Did you do the embroidery before or after you made the quilt sandwich?

It's gorgeous. The colors are awesome. I love dresden's but haven't had a chance to try them yet.
