    Default stash wall hanging

Made 48 log cabin blocks in the last week, and needed something else to do before I went crazy looking at the same logs over and over again. Dug this panel out and started cutting as I went. not quilted yet, just the top.

I like that. Very cute. I have a couple of panels I might see if this would work with them.

That looks great! I've seen a couple of these types of projects and I love them. I really like how you did this with the snowman.

I'm sure this is going to be one of your favorite Christmas decorations. That guy is so cute and the birds are adorable! Great job!

How did you know how much to cut from the panel?

I just measured the panel, divided by 3 and then made sure the snowman was centered in the center block. If it hadn't been, I would have made the center wider and the sides narrower. Then cut it in half horizontal, again making sure I didn't cut through the snowman's face. I didn't remove any of the panel. Just bordered each block with mitered border and then sashed with black. then bordered the whole thing. Only one bird met his demise in the lower left block. He kinda got his head chopped off. the rest of his head is in the seam allowance. LOL
