I have been a nurse only 4 years and I work (3) 12 hour shifts per week...so I find quilting on the other days off very relaxing! I have to work in order to afford my hobby!

I agree. It's beautiful, and so is the quilting.

Your nursing specialty would be put to good use here in Bloomington, Indiana...there are several homeless here. I love oncology...I feel I was meant to do this...right from the very first day I placed foot on that unit during clinicals. Most nurses here work 12 hour shifts in the hospitals. Some of the younger nurses will work 4-5 days a week...this grandmother is doing good to get 3 in. It's nice tpo meet you Edwina...happy quilting to you too!

Your Dresden turned out gorgeous! The blues look so pretty in that pattern. Great job!!! I have a Drez to bind and it will be done. I'm trying to get the nerve to cut it for scalloped binding.

Hello Edwina, That's a lovely Dresden plate. And, yes, it should really count as ten quilts.

I love blue quilts. I've made one in 'Spa' fabric and one in 'Harmony' (it's not finished yet).

    I've just bought a Janome. It's the 8900. What's yours?

Very Nice - I just love the colors. What a great job on the stippling (still haven't gotten the nerve to try my hand at the free motion quilting yet - maybe once I finish the 3 quilt tops that I'm working on now)
