    Question Larger Dresden?

I am a new quilter and want to make a table topper using the Dresden template idea. I've only seen people cut the blades as long as 10". My question is, is it okay to extend the template and make longer blades (about 15") for a larger table topper.

Also, are there other table toppers I should be considering for my 48" round breakfast room table?

Thank you in advance for your help,
    Joey

This is a link to one put out by Clover for Nancy Zeiman
But yes you could make your own larger by extending the line on what you already have!

Jean, I bought the same one you did last year. I tried it and had a bit of trouble with it, so hopefully, you will have better luck.

That looks perfect. I enjoyed her tutorial which showed the larger plates. Thank you for the information. Now to make up my mind on the fabrics!

I've seen Jenny demonstrate this in Craftsy's QQII. If you have a smaller dresden template but desire a larger dresden, 'but up' a longer ruler to your dresden template for the appropriate angle, then cut to desired length at wide end.
Hope this makes sense. I am unable to share the link.
