    Default Color question

I am getting ready to start my second summer sewing project and needed a little advice on my color selection. I want to do the disappearing 9 patch block. I plan to use the Shades of Black by Me and My Sisters design. Here is a link to the charm pack: Shades of Black Charm Pack Me & My Sister Designs for Moda Fabrics - Fat Quarter Shop

I want to add a pop of color and thought about using turquoise as my little solid color square on each block. I thought about using this shade
Bella Solids Turquoise Yardage SKU# 9900-107 - Fat Quarter Shop

Do you think these will look okay together?

I think it would work. Personally, I would use red. Like this:

God has a plan and it is a good plan.

I thought about red but it seems like lots of people use red when doing black and white quilts and I wanted something a little different.

It will look pretty! I did a B&W with turquoise. It's one of my favorites and just about everyone that sees it in my living room wants it.

I also have a top complete in B&W with purple. I love how it's coming out.

Personally, I think that any solid color would work - whatever goes with the decor or happens to be your favorite color. The turquoise you picked is great!

That is a wonderful color. I think any solid would work out.

I really like the turquoise with black.
Red looks sharp too, but you do see it paired with black a lot. the turquoise will make it stand out

I love black and white quilts with a pop of color - I am doing one with a pop of red, but it started out as a pop of bright green (my avatar). It is for our bed and DH vetoed the bright green. I like any bright color with the black and white. I love that line, but have resisted buying it so far....probably won't have enough will power to resist for much longer.... Whichever one you decide on, it is going to look great as a D9P.
