    Default summer quilt question

I want to create a "summer" quilt that has very little warmth value. I typically use Warm and Natural batting but find it way too warm to use as a batting for a summer quilt.

Any suggestions on batting? The thinner the better, but want something that will take the quilting lines well.

use diaper flannel in between, super thin, works well for summer quilts. Also, just a sheet in between works. I also have use nothing. I do find summer quilts are a big harder to quilt with nothing in the middle though.

I have the perfect hin batting for you: Thermore (by Hobbs I believe). It was created for quilted garments where you don't want any bulk and it's perfect for flat, light quilts. You can buy it at ConnectingThreads.com - Exclusive Quilting Fabric, Quilting Thread, Quilting Kits, Patterns & Quilt Supplies and it's quite inexpensive.
