    Default Giveaway Week 108 May 17th - 24th

Congratulations to whereiskellie! You just won 1000 Quilters Cash Points! Woohoo!

Apparently you guys are way better about remembering the care and keeping of your sewing machines! Mine is neglected but not unloved... or un-worked It may think of me as somewhat of a slave driver, but a slave driver who greatly appreciates and loves it for the results it brings forth

Ahh, so where I am it's finally getting into and above the 80's in temperature. Tomorrows gonna be 90's! Whew! Not exactly quilt weather! Well, Summer is the perfect time for all those little accessories type projects. Pillowcase dresses for toddlers, fabric head bands, Bright colored fabric wrapped bangles! So much fun stuff of the non quilt variety.

Who out there likes to attempt these, or other, out-of-the-quilt projects? Let me know and you'll be entered to win! Please note I did not say you have to enjoy, do regularly, or even finish the projects Just do you like to give them a shot! Everyone/thing deserves a chance right!

To enter just hit the reply to thread button at the top or bottom of this page and answer the question! You only get one entry per contest round. A winner will be chosen by random selection in about a week to win our next 1000 Quilters Cash Points!
Then watch your private messages cause I might be sending one your way!
To stitch or not to stitch... There is no question.

Oh goodness yes! I usually can be found crafting decorations and making curtains for our home, or whipping up some aprons. I love to sew anything and everything!

    Congratulations to whereiskellie.

I like to make the tissue holders and other smaller projects when it is too hot to quilt. Or I stick with my small wall hangings, mug rugs and things like that.

In my day, I have done many non-quilt projects. Some I enjoyed, some not so much. Now, I use my machine mostly for quilting and a few "baby things" for my grandson.

    Yea, Kellie!
I was SO intimidated by hand-binding, but a dozen (or so) sets of pot holders quickly changed that! I LOVE to hand-bind now.
I was in a slump during the winter, and PINNIES got me out of it.
I'm afraid to go back to some of my UFO's prior. I've really improved that much. WOOHOO!
Can't say I'm ever gonna win the blue ribbon at the county fair, but the improvement is palpable to me.
Nearly a two year learning curve, for me, with piecing alone....
I think little side steps help us gain confidence along the way. But that's just me...
I really need to get off the exclamation point.
It may give people the idea that I'm bright and cheerful all the time....

I stick mainly to making quilts. I did a Fig Tree Quilts bag a few years ago and was so disappointed with the crummy directions I've been turned off to bags since!

I will try anything sewing related. I have made sun dresses for my self, curtains for the home, pillows, totes, zippered change purses, toys for the grand children and of course all the crafts that I make for the craft fairs!
