    Default more falling charms

Jenny's falling charms tutorial surely inspired a lot of people. Here is mine and my first attempt at FMQ. It is a full size. The other quilt (twin size) was fun to do trying to use up a lot of scraps. It is FMQ'd all over -- what a tiring experience and quite a bit of neck fatigue but I managed to do both on my Janome 6600.Click image for larger version.

My falling charm quilt was Honey Honey and I bought five packs of the charms and used 2 1/2 packs for this quilt. I am ready to quilt a D4P that I used the rest of the Honey Honey charms for and will post it when it is finished.

I also just now finished the top for a full size Stack and Whack and will post that later.

Well, you can give yourself a pat on the back! You did very nice quilts! I know what you mean by tired neck. I'm trying to train myself now to not quilt really late at night, so my shoulder and neck can relazzzzz before I go to bed.

    Again... very nice work!

Oh... hey... On your double "Falling Charms", did you use just 2 charm packs? I used 2, and made mine sq. 60 x 60 now... 70 x 70 after borders. I'm not using it on a bed, it's for the living room.

I know Jenny used 4 on her big one in the tutorial. Just wonder how many others are using.

Love them both. The scrappy quilt is just amazing. Still waiting to do a falling charms myself. I did just quilt one that was sent to me for the PICU. (receied the top) Completely understand how physically exhausting wrestling with the entire quilt sandwich to quilt on home machine can be. Especially when you start getting into larger than lap size. I personally have never experienced that kind of neck fatigue just piecing, because you don't have that much weight to move around.

Both your quilts are gorgeous! I love that stack and whack, I'm going to try that one one day.
