Default My sewing has had to stop

I was happily starting to put together my quilt when after only 2 seams my machine decided it didn't want to sew any more. !!
The foot pedal is making noises but not managing to make the needle move, its really upset me as I have only had the machine since Christmas. I checked that there wasn't anything that I could see blocking the feed dogs or stuck in the bobbin area but didn't find anything so I am now waiting for a man to collect it in the morning to hopefully repair it for me.
Its really frustrating when all the material is ready to be put together and now I have no excuses why I cannot do housework LOL

So sorry to hear this. Hopefully it isn't much, and you will be back at it soon. You can't do housework while you are mourning the illness of your machine

Are you able to take the cover off the foot pedal. Maybe some lint or a piece of thread is the problem.

Remember the story of the cat whisker? My machine stopped during a fancy stitch today and had me truly puzzled. I turned it off, waited a few, and then it restarted and continued just fine. Double check your plug-in to the machine, rehook up your foot pedal . . . just like computers they sometimes need a swift kick where it hurts.

it's best not to try to put it out with gasoline.

Check your needle...it might be bent and not allowing the needle to go into the hole. That happened to me once. Worth looking at.

Good luck and really hope it will get returned to you fast! Oh now you must get a 2nd machine, just in case there is this problem again

Housework? No, actually Dust and even cat hairs can protect furniture, I'm sure it's the latest rage among quilters :-) A few well placed squirts of Windex and Pledge around the house and *shazam* you DID clean!!!

Debbie does my kind of cleaning. When someone randomly drops by I spray some Febreze as I run to the door, then they can't say I didn't clean up. "But I just cleaned, can't you smell it?" I hope the repairman gets you fixed up soon. Nobody has ever died from housework but I don't want us to be taking that risk!

*squirts some Fabreze* Good thinking Dee!! now how to get the cat hair off the carpet without REALLY pulling the Oreck out?

socks with tape on the bottom?? no that would require running around... well I'm sure someone has that answer too!
