My cutting table!!

I just posted pictures in my album of the cutting table that my husband made for me and thought you might like to see it. I LOVE IT! I overheard him on the phone yesterday telling my SIL that he was beginning to wonder if making it had been the right thing....for him....he hadn't seen me in hours!!! The room has a sofa bed in there that can be used for extra sleeping space when needed (we do have 8 kids - all married - most with kids!) so the cutting table had to be able to be moved against the wall and collapsed. This design accomplishes that....when it is open it is 5 x 4 feet, closed 5 x 2 and looks like a regular bookcase. Hope you like it.

He made the design with my input on what I needed...height, width, storage, etc. He does quite a bit of wood working, so I really lucked out! One of these days I'll post the kitchen island he made me. It is wonderful!!!

By the way - pay no attention to the date on the pictures - I never remember to change it so all the pictures we have look like they were taken in 2004!

Looks awesome! Lucky lady. I have to say you have the cleanest sewing room, where the rest of my house is tidy and clean, my sewing room is my personal tornado....you make me want to go tidy it up lol
