    Default My first quilt...

Well, here is hoping my photos show up. I have tried uploading a photo for my profile but it would not work so I gave up.

This quilt is for my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter who is enthralled with Cinderella, Belle and all those other Disney princesses. The material was a very large panel. I cut out the princesses and many of the blocks were not square and so it was a struggle from the get go. Madison Claire is also an "edgy" dresser as in she will put on a purple tutu over her jeans and a tee-shirt. Therefore I used a purple animal print for the binding. Also attached a photo of Madison. I am now working on her little sister, Morgan's quilt and will wait until I am finished with that before giving the girls their quilts.

Please use Jean Sewing Machine's thought process as in look at it from 30 yards on a galloping horse... )

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

No need for a galloping horse! You did a great job and I think it's beautiful. And little Miss Madison is gorgeous little girl.

Your little granddaughter is so cute..........and the quilt looks great..........I like the the "edgy" print for the border to fit her personality. I don't see any need for the galloping horse either! But isn't it a great rule to have when we feel like we need it!

I agree! Up close or from a galloping horse, it is darling! What is it about 3 year olds princesses and purple tutus? They all seem to love them!
