A couple months ago I asked a very stupid question on this forum about string blocks half-expecting some ridicule but instead I got some very helpful advice and no one made me feel dumb for asking.

Well, last night I finished the string block quilt (not quite twin size) in question and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Thanks to the wisdom shared on this forum by so many of you wonderful people not only did I piece the quilt but I did the backing and also machine quilted it! I even made a quilt label!

Thank you all so much! I feel like it would have taken me years to get to the point I am now knowledge-wise without your generous sharing of expertise. Love this forum and M*QC!!
It's all fun and games until the bobbin runs out.

Love how your quilt turned out. Reminds me of some of the colors in my grandmother's old quilts. I've been saving scraps for a string quilt. Did you use paper or fabric for your foundation?

Life is like a party. You invite a lot of people; some go, some join you, some laugh with you, some didn’t come. But in the end, after the fun, there would be a few who would clean up the mess with you. And most of the time, those were the uninvited ones.
