Now I am confused. I did one and my blocks measured 7 inches when done. I used yardage for the charms and a Jelly Roll.

That's a really nice little quilt. I have one Sweet Tooth, and two of a DD... Pink something... It has the pink ribbons... Anyway, I think the ST would make a cute baby quilt, and the other... A throw for someone. Not sure who, just yet.

I think we all love the Falling Charms....

Actually a falling charm "block" should measure 6.5" finished and 7" unfinished. Finished means sewn into the quilt. Unfinished means just the square block.

5" charm + 2.5" jelly roll strip = 7" (1/2 inch is taken up in the seam) that is your unfinished size. When the block is sewn into the quilt you will lose another 1/2" in seams so your finished size is 6.5".

I actually saved the picture to my iPad's camera roll (his name is Buddy), so I can reference the pattern. Love the bright colors.

I have made one. When I was laying it out I just remembered 7 and L. the Jelly roll part of the square can be placed to look like a 7 or L. 7L7L....

    Aloha!
Yes, I'm working on it now and will post a pic (if i can figure out how to...) when I get further along. Trimmed all the blocks down tho. Worked out well since it seems they needed some squaring up!

I plan to cut and piece from raw "yardage". No charm packs or jelly rolls here . Any equivalents for the previously mentioned terms re:measurements? (the pieces with color vs.muslin or neutral color). I plan to make one full size, one queen and possibly a king size. Many thanks for your answer! GracieLea
