Sandy, so glad that you are getting your "new" space organized. I think I am going to steal some of your organizing tips. When I move into my son's room, do you want to come help set it up? It will just be me and the hubby and the golden retriever when he moves out. Gotta re-do his room, so that I don't think about it too much - we want them to grow up and move out on their own, but it is still hard at times. Maybe I should re-think painting his room pink, since he may move back at some point
You are such a good mom/grandma. I for one am glad that you are still finding some time in your busy day for the forum. I would sure miss your posts! Lisa

I'm not just buying fabric, I am supporting the economy...
A bad day in the sewing room is better than a good day at the office.
Oh Sandy, it's beautiful! And whata stash! It's ok to be OCD, I know lots of people like that. But, I'll take ya anyday.
I was hoping for my 'sewing area' in the basement to be enclosed this year but DH did an estimate on the cost for putting up 3 walls and he says - well, we need to buy this many 2x4's and this many screws and this much insulation and this much for ceiling tiles - and oH! there are 2 doors needed and . and . and ..... so I stopped him cause I just know that there will be more that he didn't even think to mention. We are going to take out the garage door and enclose the basement with french doors and fix the outside door where you can see sunlight coming through on both sides and I think that will help lots with warmth, etc. Maybe I'll just have to stack my storage things higher to make it look more like I do have walls. In the meantime, I'll just keep bundling up and keep sewing!
Ok is this is "new" GOT A LOCK room? hehehehe Great organization on the Peg board gave me tons of ideas! Next time I'm awake that's on my list!!! OCD is a good thing to have :-) I made my grandson help me 1 year, took my mom's buttons from a zillion years of saving and organized them by color in clear ziplocks - Got to pass that OCD along!
What a great idea on storing the stabalizers! Need to run away? Still have 1 room with a bed in it and it's Quiet here except the kitty purrs (and icky hub's smoking cigars habits) but Arizona is Welcoming you!
Ohhh I need to send you some fabric I see is a Blinding match to one of yours!!! Love seeing the room - it's really coming along Sandy!

What is your roll of batting hanging on? My biggest problem right now is getting my rolls of batting out of the way. Your room is awesome. I'll be there in a bit, just packing up a few outfits.
It is looking great. Sometimes being forced to downsize is a really good thing Such a wonderful mom and grandma you are. I love your your awesome space, and can't wait to see it up close and personal, while I ooo and ahhh and we just chill with a cold beverage.
Blankets wrap you in warmth, quilts wrap you in love
Love it. DD#1 may be moving back home for awhile. She's the costume designer and a hurricane when she sews. It will get interesting around here with me being a neat freak and her a whirling dervish!
Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.

Hooks in the ceiling, soldered link chain, a wood clothes pole with eye hooks on the end - through the chain . . .
I have the compressor ready to fill all the air mattresses - sorry the beds are mostly full right now.
BTW you look good in what you are wearing right now.
