    As Sandy said it's super..........docious!!! Really lovely. Can't wait to see the finished quilt!

    I would do the following:

    width of mattress =
    height of mattress times 2 =
    extra for quilting and shrinkage = maybe 6"
    Add the above together for the total width of the quilt

    length of mattress =
    height of mattress =
    extra for quilting and shrinkage = maybe 3"
    extra for the tuck under the pillows = maybe 3 or 4"
    add the above together to get length of quilt
    Goodbye Europe! Hello California! Home sweet home.

    Thanks all! I will be working on the "extra" octagons today. They will be a little "scrappy" from all of the extras I have left.
