Welcome fellow newbie! I think this forum is just what we need not to mention the great tutorials on the M* website. At this point, I too am in the process of gathering supplies, reading lots of how-to's and watching tutorials. I think this is going to be fun.

It great having mum - she just seems to 'get' all things stitch/sewing and fabric related - plus she trained as a needle work teacher so she's very good at teaching!!! She hasn't quilted for years - so machine quilting is pretty new to her too - but there isn't much she can't get her Bernina to do!!!
    Blessings X

Welcome from Illinois. This does get pretty addicting, once you get going. There are so many pretty fabrics and patterns to try. I never thought I would have a stash, since I was only making one little baby quilt at a time. That is until I saw Jenny's tutorials and signed up for one of her classes on Craftsy. Now I have more fabric and ideas than I know what to do with.

I like your fabric and will be waiting to see what you come up with; and have fun!

Welcome from North Carolina. You are about to join a great sisterhood of "materialistic" delight. We were ALL newbies at one time .... you think anyone was born with a rotary cutter and ruler in the nursery? Let the fun begin
